Allison is a yoga teacher, and communication professional, working with individuals, groups and teams to nurture energetic potential for well being and personal development. She specialises in 1-2-1 yoga personal training.
After 10 years in the mountains in France, and taking the long road home via Australia, New Zealand, California and Canada, she recently returned to teach in London.
Allison began practicing Sivananda yoga in London in 1997 with former Ballet Rambert principal dancer Keith Hodiak. The influence of classical dance with its elegant fusion of ‘power and softness, precision and fluidity’ remains part of Allison’s approach to yoga.
She qualified as a Sivananda and Yoga Alliance RYT 200-hours registered teacher in 2011 after bi-lingual training (English and French) at the Sivananda Ashram & Headquarters in Quebec, Canada.
Until recently, she was teaching mostly in French at the Sivananda Centre in Geneva as well as Sattva Yoga in Chamonix - the French Alps magnet for those who like their mountain sports on the extreme side.
Now back in London, she teaches all over the city at places to suit her private 1-1 and corporate clients — at work, at home, at a local studio or in the park. She also teaches open group classes in Hither Green, Lewisham SE13.
Allison is co-founder of @urbanretreatsin - for the retreat experience without leaving London.
